Laboratory of molecular ecology has been established in the year 2012. The group includes one professor, two associate professors, one post-doctoral researcher, and more than 20 graduate students.
We use methods and technologies of ecology and molecular biology to study the evolution of mating system and sexual selection, and the molecular mechanisms of sexual dimorphism and sex determination in amphibians. We are also interested in the population status and threaten factors of endangered animals, which can provide theoretical guidance for the protection and utilization of wildlife resources.
Our group has hosted more than 10 national research projects and more than 20 provincial and ministerial projects. The group has published more than 30 articles in international academic journals, such as Nature Communications, Animal Behaviour, Behavioral Ecology and Sociobiology, BMC Genomics, BMC Evolutionary Biology, Biological Conservation and Journal of Zoology. The team members have received honors and awards such as "Excellent Graduate Models", "Excellent Doctoral Dissertation in Central China Normal University" and "National Graduate Scholarship".
We encourage researchers and students to carry out academic communications broadly. The group supports students...
